Jim Camacho’s new video for “Big Little World” is actually an entry for NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest 2016. Originally released on the Everywhere EP in 2013, the new version is an acoustic treatment of the tune written by Jim, along with Jodi Marr and George Noriega. The video, directed by Juan Davila from 2Way Creative, takes place in an elevator and features a cavalcade of dancing spacemen and animals, all interacting with me in tiny confines while I was recording the track live.
The contest will be judged by a panel of celebrities and the results will be announced on February 25. The winner will get to perform at a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR in Washington, D.C., appear at a taping of NPR’s Ask Me Another, tour the U.S. with NPR and sponsor Lagunitas, and be awarded a $5000 cash prize. Good luck all entrants!
